Dr. Taylor Squires is an award-winning, Board-Certified Orthodontist in Rochester, NY. In 2025, he received the Frederick J. Halik Award from the Monroe County Dental Society, recognizing exceptional leadership, service, and contributions to the dental profession early in his career.
Dr. Squires is also recognized as one of the youngest orthodontists in the Rochester area to serve as President of the Monroe County Dental Society, where he helped advance professional education, collaboration, and patient care in orthodontics and dentistry throughout the local dental community.
He will serve as a future President of the Seventh District Dental Society, representing dentists across eight counties in Western and Central New York. Through these leadership roles, Dr. Squires actively advocates for the advancement of orthodontics, the dental profession as a whole, and the continued elevation of patient care across the region.
Dr. Squires began his educational journey at Binghamton University, earning a degree in Chemistry before graduating first in his class from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He completed his residency at the renowned Eastman Institute in Rochester and has advanced training in clear aligners, airway-friendly care, and digital orthodontics.
In addition to his degrees and training, Dr. Squires has also completed board certification, a distinction only earned by 1 out of 3 orthodontists in the United States. This certification is a testament to Dr. Squires’ expertise and dedication to the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Squires treats all patients with compassion and empathy. As someone who was once a patient himself, he understands the patient perspective firsthand. In fact, he had his braces treatment completed in the very same office he now practices in! This experience with now-retired orthodontist Dr. Scott Stein gave Dr. Squires insight into how a patient’s experience with orthodontics can shape their entire future.
Dr. Stein’s level of care and artistry continues to inspire Dr. Squires each and every day. Returning to the Pittsford office years later is a very full-circle moment for Dr. Squires. For him, it’s a chance to continue the legacy of creating brand new, life-changing smiles in the community he was raised in.
In addition to practicing orthodontics in the Rochester community that he grew up in, Dr. Squires has a rockstar persona! He loves jamming with his 90s and 2000s cover band, Glass Cannon, at venues in and around Rochester. Dr. Squires also loves cooking and trying new recipes.
